I have mild mitral regurgitation due to a very mild MVP. My heart is healthy, and the valves are thin and healthy. Does exercise make the mild regurgitation worse? I do light cardio like walking, jogging, teach spinning once a week, and lift light weights with body movements like lunges or squats. I've read online that exercise can make it leak worse, but my cardiologist said I shouldn't worry.
