I have recurrent ear infections causing ear canals to ache and sting, leading to progressive hearing loss over 10 years. Despite seeing an ENT specialist and changing GPs multiple times, no definitive diagnosis has been made. The pain has worsened in frequency and severity, and I am concerned about the impact on my hearing. I have high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, and a history of a heart attack. What could be causing this and what tests should be considered?
