I have stage 4 kidney disease with a creatinine level of 2.3 and a GFR of 22. About 10 hours ago, I experienced pain in my ankles that spread up my calves, and now my legs are swollen and painful to walk. I have many physical problems, including hypertension, allergies, migraines, fibromyalgia, high cholesterol, high lipids, anemia from kidney damage, COPD, CHF, asthma, IBS, gout, and a history of spinal and shoulder surgeries. I am not diabetic. What do you think could be causing this?

I am a 43-year-old woman experiencing severe bladder control issues. I drink a lot of water, often a quart within an hour, which leads to frequent and urgent needs to urinate, often resulting in incontinence. This is particularly challenging when I also need to have a bowel movement. I am concerned about multiple sclerosis (MS) or Parkinson's disease, but I do not have weakness or numbness in my legs. I also experience eye muscle pulsations under my right eye when tired. What could be causing these symptoms, and is there a way to manage them?

I am a 31-year-old female who was hospitalized for right lower lobe pneumonia and had a WBC count of 22, which decreased to 14 upon discharge. My pneumonia has cleared up, but I have developed daily hives, shortness of breath, severe dizziness, trouble thinking and finding words, and periodic cramps in my armpits, hips, and ribs. My WBC count is now back up to 19. I've been on steroids, antibiotics, and an inhaler for three weeks. My NP doesn't seem to know what's going on, and I'm losing faith in her. I cannot return to work due to shortness of breath and difficulty talking for too long or doing too much. Please advise!

I have had pencil stools periodically for at least a year or two, especially when stool is soft. Recently, I experienced a week of stomach discomfort and constipation, followed by ongoing minor discomfort and pencil stools. I am currently in Mexico for three months and work in many third-world nations. Could this be a serious problem, possibly a viral or parasitic infection, or is it something else?
