I am 73 years old and drink above the moderate alcohol limits recommended several times per week. I have done this all my life and have no physical illnesses. I have regularly exercised significantly more than general guidelines and attributed my health to vigorous exercise, good dietary habits, and not smoking for the last 25 years. My doctor attributed my good health to the 'training effect' of my exercise regime. Despite this, I am concerned about comments suggesting that my exercise efforts are nullified by my drinking habits. Do you agree with my doctor that exercise has significant value and meaning, and is my exercise still important despite drinking above recommended levels?

I got a ganglion impar block for genital nerve pain and a few days later, my butt and back of thighs started burning on both sides.
