I have white spots on my tonsils and on the roof of my mouth/throat and Iām not sure what the cause is. They arenāt painful or anything. Can it still be strep even if there is no pain or sore throat or anything like that? Are there any STDs that I should be concerned about?

My mother is experiencing difficulty swallowing after taking Metamucil tablets. She took 5 tablets this morning and 5 tonight at 8. She has tried drinking extra water but still feels a bit irritated in her throat. She is also taking a mild blood pressure pill, low dose of synthesis, and lyrica.
