I just got over a cold last week and was feeling much better this week. Now I'm experiencing a sore throat and swollen, tender glands in my neck. What is the likelihood of this being the Delta Variant? I had COVID last year and got through it fine. I'm 61 in good health, generally, and am taking Tylenol right now for the sore throat. It's been this way for two days now. No other symptoms. I do have allergies sometimes that I manage with Flonase if I have a stuffy nose but not experiencing that now. Cold and allergy meds such as Allegra and Claritin dry me out and don't address the problem. It's rainy, humid here in NC. Could be the barometric pressure which affects me but I don't usually get the sore glands.

I have COVID-19 and would like to know what medications I can take. I have chills, a slight fever of 37.1°C, and no cough. My breathing is fine, and I have no pre-existing respiratory conditions. I am 52 years old, this is my first COVID infection, I have had all four COVID vaccine shots, and I have high cholesterol. What treatments can I try for my symptoms?

I have a new pain in my pelvic area, along with a small, semi-painful lump on the left side. I also noticed some white discharge. Should I be worried about this, and what could it be?

I had a stool in the morning and yesterday that is not the same color. It has shades of orange and darkish colors but is mainly brown. I’m a 21-year-old female. I have a picture of the stool as well. I started taking probiotics recently and also took them with green veggie powder that contains fiber, probiotics, and antioxidant blends. What could be causing the color change and should I be concerned?

I had an afib episode in May and was cardioverted with Flecanide. I have paroxysmal afib with a good echocardiogram and stress tests showing no ischemia. I'm currently on 25 mg of metoprolol and Xarelto. My blood pressure is naturally low, and I experience side effects like fatigue, dry mouth, and hand swelling from metoprolol. I'm in regular sinus rhythm but still on metoprolol. Why can't I just be on Xarelto and no other meds? Is it necessary to have an ablation or could I be off metoprolol and be monitored? Is ablation done even in normal sinus rhythm as a preventative measure? If I'm in normal sinus rhythm, is it necessary to stay on metoprolol? My cardiologist has me on 25 mg as a preventative measure. My blood pressure is naturally low without any meds, and I find that metoprolol keeps it even lower. So just wondering if it could be stopped. Do you know if just staying on Xarelto as a preventative for stroke is still done or is the protocol to be on both a beta blocker and blood thinner?
