I have been taking Gabapentin since June 6 and have gained 13 lbs despite exercising and maintaining a controlled calorie intake. My creatinine level is high, and I cannot take diuretics. I don't want to stop Gabapentin due to its off-label benefits, but I am concerned about the weight gain. What can I do to manage this weight gain, and are there alternative medications that provide similar benefits without causing significant weight gain?
