My feet and ankles are swelling and turning purple and black. I went to the doctor 8 weeks ago with another problem, but showed him my feet and my blood pressure was 160/98. He just sent me home. I do not take any medications at this time, but I do take a lot of supplements. What could be causing this and what can I do to alleviate the swelling?

I went to the ER due to abdominal pain near my right hip. I recently did core exercises for the first time, which caused muscle aches. The pain in my left side went away, but the pain in my right side remained. The ER did blood tests and a CT scan, revealing no appendicitis but stones in the appendix. I was told to monitor the pain and return if it worsens or if I experience nausea, vomiting, or fever. Do stones pass through the system, and if they don't, should I have surgery to remove the appendix with the stones? Can surgery be done with laparoscopy? I also have a history of IBS and recent bouts of diverticulitis.
