I just noticed something in my eye that feels like a floater but is bigger and consistent for the last several hours. Could it be a retinal tear? Is it an emergency? My last eye exam was two years ago, and the issue is sudden today. I also have a slight fever and am going for a COVID test tomorrow. I'm 55 and nearsighted.

I'm experiencing symptoms such as puffy eyes, joint pains, dry mouth, headaches, and tiredness.
