I have been experiencing heart rate fluctuations, including a drastic swing from 134 to 89 in less than one second during an ECG, and it takes over an hour for my heart rate to return to normal after exercise. My doctor suspects anxiety, but I am concerned about possible arrhythmias. What are the possible conditions if it's not anxiety, and are they dangerous? Should I be concerned about waiting weeks for a heart monitor?
