I had 3 days of faintly positive urine betas followed by one regular positive urine beta in the evening. The next morning, two negative urine betas. I am also experiencing left lower quadrant and left flank pain for a few days, which is intermittent, sharp, and squeezing. My last menstrual period was on February 24, and my cycles are pretty regular, averaging 33 days. I am not on any birth control methods and am actively trying to conceive. My period was due on March 29. What could this be (chemical vs. ectopic pregnancy), and what are the next steps?

I've been sick for a week with body aches, low-grade fever, sore throat, and a cough that has turned into a dry, persistent cough. I can't get air through my throat, and my chest and lungs feel fine, but when I cough, my throat feels like it's closing up, and I start gasping for air. The cough is constant but worse at night, making it hard to sleep. I'm not taking any medications, but I had a Myers cocktail with extra vitamin C recently. I'm 53 years old and have never experienced this before. I also have a swollen gland on the left side of my throat that I've had for almost a year. What could be causing this, and what should I do?
