I notice when I eat my tongue becomes paralyzed and I can't move it for about 3 seconds, then I can move it again. Also, I notice when I talk I feel my speech is slurred. What tests can be run to see what the issue is?

What is an alternative venodilator to Hydralazine that addresses issues of heart failure and blood pressure, but does not have the same risks to the kidneys? How does Doxazosin compare? Is it different? More safe? Any risks you know of?

I am a 30-year-old male with eczema and no known allergies. I recently developed a rash behind both legs after a hike in Hawaii. The rash itches, and I have been taking Benadryl and applying hydrocortisone. What could be causing the rash—allergies, eczema, or scabies? What else can I do to relieve the itching, and when should I see a doctor if the rash doesn't subside?

I got a peak fertility reading on cycle day 27 when my period was supposed to start. I have irregular cycles and am trying to conceive. I have been using ovulation test kits, specifically Clearblue digital tests, and have not been diagnosed with any infertility or taking any medication other than prenatal vitamins. My last cycle began on October 9th and lasted about 5 days. I received my first positive test on the 11th day of my cycle, which went straight from low fertility to peak overnight. I have been taking pregnancy tests which have all been negative. My period was supposed to start yesterday, so I tested again and it was negative. Just for curiosity, I tested an ovulation test and it came up as peak today, which is cycle day 27. What should I do?

I had a CT scan of my abdomen to rule out hernia or scar tissue from a laparoscopic cholecystectomy. The results mentioned 'Symmetric nephrograms, extrarenal pelves without frank hydronephrosis' for my kidneys and 'bibasilar atelectasis' for my lungs. What do these terms mean in terms of my kidneys and lungs being normal or abnormal, and could holding my breath and doing the Valsalva maneuver during the test have caused the atelectasis?
