I randomly have blood in my urine when I first wake up in the morning, which goes away after the first urination. This happens again after working outside in the heat, where I walk a lot and sweat a lot, and I drink about 74 oz of water during work. I also experience slight lower abdominal pain during these times. What could be causing this and what should I do?

While mowing the yard, I suddenly experienced severe burning pain on the top of my foot and front of my ankle. There is no swelling or redness, and the pain is relieved with rest. I have controlled hypertension and GERD, recently quit smoking, and started taking Zocor (simvastatin) about a week and a half ago. The symptoms are on both ankles at the same time. I chew ice all the time and this behavior started after I began donating blood about a year ago. My hemoglobin levels are always between 12.5-13.2 when I donate blood. I started taking a multivitamin with 100% iron once a day, but it's not helping yet. What kind of test do I need and how can I fix this?

I have Type II Diabetes. What is the range of sugar counts I should try to stay within? When I wake up my sugar is anywhere from 94 to 123. 2 hours after my breakfast and Metform (I take that right after my breakfast) my sugar runs 111 to 125. I noticed after I had a piece of apple strudle around 7:00 at bedtime 10:00 my sugar was 193. The next morning my fasting sugar was 140. Can you help explain this to me?

My brother is very ill with a variety of symptoms including right chest pain, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, and swollen lymph nodes. He has been suffering for over a year with chronic sinus problems, right chest pain, and right arm weakness. He recently had nasal surgery for polyps and deformed sinuses. The serious pain started about 6 to 8 weeks ago, and they removed his appendix due to inflammation seen on a CT scan. He has had swollen lymph nodes in his intestines and throat area, but no smoking, heartburn, or fever currently. What could be causing his symptoms, and what further tests should be done?
