I recently fell off a skateboard and now have severe cramping and pain in the base of my left thumb, which is tender to the touch and has been ongoing for over an hour. I have been icing it and taking pain medication, but the pain remains consistent. Should I go to an urgent care or ER for an examination, or can I wait and see if it improves?

I can’t hold down any food. I am vomiting and have stomach cramps. The cramps are constant but get worse in waves and feel better after vomiting. I took 2 Tums but they didn’t stay. I am 30 and had a round of antibiotics and steroids for an ear infection a week ago. I had similar symptoms in late December and chalked it up to food poisoning. I also saw a friend with shingles over the weekend and am unsure of my immunity to chicken pox. What could be causing my symptoms and what should I do?

I tested positive for Covid and my symptoms are worsening, including fever, sore throat, headache, chest pain, and extremely painful body aches. I am currently taking Tylenol but it's not helping. I am 39 years old and have a history of a severe car accident in 2014 with major blood transfusion, pulmonary embolism, and a blood clot in my lungs. Do I need to go to emergency care?

I've been experiencing headaches on the right side of my head for 4-5 days. The headaches are dull but are interrupted by high-intensity waves that last about 60 seconds, feeling like someone is squeezing my head. These waves occur every few minutes. The headaches are one-sided and do not improve with sleep. There is no dizziness, nausea, vomiting, or weakness associated with the headaches. I am not on any medication, and there is no family history of migraine or seizure disorder. Could this be a tumor, cancer, or MS, or is it something else?

I feel like I have a brain tumor because I can't sleep, my heart is racing, and my anxiety is very bad. I have a headache and I'm trying not to take lorazepam, but this is the 5th night I need it. I also have a low-grade fever in the afternoons, a sore neck, and my heart won't relax. How can I relax and should I take lorazepam or Benadryl?

I was recently prescribed an antibiotic for epididymitis and have an appointment for my second booster shot for the COVID-19 vaccine this Saturday. Can I take antibiotics and the vaccine at the same time? Are there any risks?
