My crotch and scrotal area are inflamed with lots of itching and burning. It smells like vinegar. Do I have a yeast infection? Flouocinonide 0.05% gives short relief; Ketoconazole 2% was prescribed by my new doctor. Do I shave a yeast infection? The itchiness has been going on for years and is cyclical, with the summer being the worst. The skin is red and scaly to the touch, and I have no known allergies. I am 83 years old and wear tight underwear, though boxers exacerbate the condition.
