I sometimes feel a pinch in a specific area inside my throat, which sometimes goes away when I eat but comes back afterward. The pinch is sometimes painful, and massaging the area temporarily relieves it. Additionally, I experience excess saliva in my throat and mouth all the time. What could be causing these issues?

I am experiencing excessive sweating, with my clothes getting damp, despite reasonable weather conditions. I had a complete hysterectomy six years ago and now use bioidentical hormone cream daily, so I don't think it's related to hot flashes. I have recently started Metformin for diabetes type 2 and take a hydrochlorothiazide diuretic and daily aspirin due to having two stents placed about ten years ago.
