I had double knee replacement 7 weeks ago and have been prescribed Oxycodone / acetaminophen 7.5 - 325 mg tablets every 4 to 6 hours. The medication has been effective in managing my discomfort, but I fear addiction. I also have Vertigo BPPV and am 73 years old with a history of normal recoveries from previous surgeries. What should I do to manage my pain and avoid addiction?
