I think I might have an ear infection. My ear started hurting today, and I have a bit of a headache and am sensitive to loud noises. I am 25 years old, not currently using any medications, and have a history of ear infections as a child but haven't had one since getting surgery (tubes in ears). My nose isn't stuffy, I don't have a sore throat, and my ear isn't clogged, just painful. I don't have a fever but occasionally experience difficulty with balance/dizziness. Should I be looking for any specific symptoms?

I recently had a sore throat with pus in my tonsils, which have since returned to normal. My children had a cold with sore throat and vomiting, and I caught it from them.
