I'm an acting student researching a character who suffers a nervous breakdown and is on stimulants, appearing euphoric. Which drugs might cause this reaction and what are the characteristics of someone's behavior on these drugs?

I have had a persistent cough since before Thanksgiving, which worsened and led me to visit the emergency room. My doctor referred me to a pulmonologist, who ruled out asthma and suggested the cough is due to severe acid reflux. Over the Christmas holiday, I experienced sudden, severe pain that required frequent Tylenol, which resolved quickly. This pain involved my jaw, neck, shoulder blades, and upper back, primarily on the right side. The cough has lessened but now causes tightness in my chest when I walk or lift. Despite multiple doctor visits, no underlying cause has been found. Why do I keep experiencing this pain?

I have a hacking cough that produces dark yellow phlegm, which worsens in the morning and improves with hydration. My throat feels moderately swollen, and I'm very tired. I am not a smoker and have little to no fever or chills. My voice is raspy. Do I have acute bronchitis, and if so, what can I do to speed up recovery, am I contagious, and can I exercise during this period?
