I've been taking Prilosec OTC for 6 days and today I had a bowel movement where my stool was light in color. I'm wondering if it's the Prilosec or something else. The Prilosec has helped a lot with no side effects, and I'm not using any other medications. I'm 32 years old and have no known liver or gall bladder issues. This is the first time I've had light-colored stools, and I'm not experiencing any other symptoms like abdominal pain, dark urine, or nausea. Could the Prilosec have caused this, and if so, how long does the discoloration typically last? Also, if there's an underlying issue like a blockage or bile duct problem, would the stool color remain consistently light or could it fluctuate?

I've been experiencing stomach pains throughout my abdominal area since Sunday night, including painful diarrhea, loss of appetite, and infrequent bowel movements, despite passing gas hourly. The pain is dull and achy, similar to an upset stomach, and comes and goes. I also had chills at night and my lower abdomen is sore when pressed. I recently finished a course of antibiotics and have a history of hemorrhoids. What could be causing this and what should I do?
