I was given COLCRYS for gout in my toe; 2 tablets initially, then 1 tablet every hour until the pain is gone (or greatly reduced). I became extremely ill in the middle of the night. I've learned that this dosage was suggested for the old COCHICINE and not recommended for COLCRYS, which has a maximum of 3 tablets per day. What are your thoughts on this? I want the pharmacist to be aware of the potential dangers.
