I was on Metoprolol Succ ER 100mg and Lisinopril HCTZ 20-12.5 for a few years. After side effects became too annoying, my doctor switched me to Valsartan HCTZ 80-12.5. I'm nervous about stopping beta blockers cold turkey and my blood pressure is reading 145/97 on average. Should I be worried that I wasn't weaned off the beta blocker?

I've been experiencing pinching chest pain and dull toothache-like pain in my left arm extending to my elbow. The chest pain started yesterday afternoon and comes and goes. I accidentally left my duloxetine and other pills in near freezing temperatures in a storage unit. Do I need to throw them away or are they still usable? My main concern is the duloxetine but I also have calcium supplements and a few other that suggest storing only at room temperature.
