I had an abdominal X-ray last Tuesday that showed a few dilated small bowel loops and moderate constipation. Could this indicate a bowel obstruction? Additionally, I am always constipated high up in my colon and believe it may be impacted. How would they remove fecal impaction if it is high up in the colon?

I constantly have pain in my right side slightly above the hip area. I sleep on my right side and now wake with really bad pains there. I have frequent constipation, abdominal distention, bloating, and gas. I had a hysterectomy in 2009 and still have my ovaries. I live with constant discomfort. How long have you had the pain?
