I went to the doctor for symptoms of the flu, including coughing, high temperature, and malaise. Chest x-rays were clear, and blood work showed normal results, except for three categories marked as 'abnormal': Lymphocytes, Monocytes, and Absolute Lymphocytes. The doctor said these were fine, but I'm confused. What kind of infection could it be if it's not the flu, and how can I ease the constant coughing?

I am a 34-year-old nursing mom with a 5-month-old baby. Over the last four weeks, I have been sick three times with symptoms including fever, chills, a sore throat like having a golf ball, and swollen glands. My doctor prescribed antibiotics twice, first Omnicef and then Augmentin, and a blood test showed a bacterial infection (not strep). I finished the antibiotics, but my glands are swelling again, and my throat feels like it has white stuff on it. Why do I keep getting sick, and what should I do?

I am a 21-year-old female. Yesterday, my temperature was 103.2°F and my doctor prescribed oseltamivir. Today, my temperature is 98°F. Is oseltamivir just to relieve symptoms? And if my temperature is 98°F, how soon can I return to work without being contagious?

I had a pregnancy test done at a clinic yesterday. The test came back negative, but the INTERNAL QC, POC said present. What does that mean, and why might the pregnancy test still be negative if I am trying to get pregnant and had intercourse on my fertile days?
