I just got a message from my doctor after a CT scan yesterday. The doctor mentioned a possible pulmonary embolism found incidentally during a GI CT scan. The instructions are to follow up with the local ER for a CT pulmonary angiogram of the chest. Does this mean I should go to the ER now? I am 57 years old, a smoker, and thought my symptoms were just allergies. I have been congested and coughing normal phlegm, but not enough to use an inhaler. My heart rate is 84.

I felt lower abdominal pain after using the restroom and did a UTI home test which showed positive leukocytes and nitrites, but later had a negative urine PCR test. Can I have a UTI not detected by a urine PCR test?
