If someone has MRSA in their sputum, how do they prevent spreading it, and how can you tell if it's active or inactive? Additionally, why do hospitals take precautions with isolation regardless of whether MRSA is active or colonized, and how safe is it to interact with someone who is colonized with MRSA, especially around young children?
