I have been bedridden for 3 years and take dulcolax tablets every night for bowel movements, which result in loose stools and severe upper stomach pain in the center of my stomach, the size of a big grapefruit. The pain is constant, sharp, and stabbing. I also experience difficulty passing gas, despite feeling it in my rectum. I have a history of CIDP, Sjogrens, severe arthritis, 100 muscle loss, total atrophy, heart disease, a major heart attack in 2014, hereditary high cholesterol, anxiety, and depression. What could be causing this severe stomach pain after bowel movements, and what can help alleviate the pain?
