What are the differences between prolapsed hemorrhoids that bleed intermittently and colon cancer bleeding? Can cancer be misdiagnosed as hemorrhoids even if protruding prolapsed hemorrhoids are very present, visible, and can be felt? I am a 51-year-old male with no history of colon cancer in my family, but both parents had hemorrhoids that bled most of my life. My hemorrhoidal bleeding has occurred off and on for about 23 years, but I have not been diagnosed. I can see and feel them. The blood is always bright red and appears in the toilet, sometimes drips, covers the stool, and appears on the toilet paper. My stools are mostly normal because I eat high fiber, take Metamucil 2 times a day, and am in pretty good shape. I have terrible OCD and a phobia of doctors. I am just terrified of cancer. I am worried about having a colonoscopy and then finding something worse than hemorrhoids. Can cancer coexist with the hemorrhoids? I have really no other symptoms. My stool can be stringy sometimes, but that is intermittent as well. Just looking for an expert opinion.

My grandfather died from skin cancer, so I'm concerned about my genetic risk. How long have you had the soreness? Have you used any medication for it? Have you seen a doctor about the mole? Anything else in your medical history you think the Doctor should know?

My blood pressure has been spiking at around 227/111. I went to a small town hospital in Tehran where they ran a dye CT on my chest and found no blockages, so they told me not to worry about my blood pressure. I can't get my diastolic pressure under 101. I take 10 mg of benazapril and have some old blood pressure pills, but my blood pressure remains high. I'm 58 years old, and I've been using benazapril for about 4 years. I've also been on a methadone maintenance program for 10 years, which I detoxed from a week ago. I'm experiencing severe headaches, pounding in my chest, a dull headache, and raw guts with no appetite for the last three days. I'm worried about a possible stroke. What should I do?

My family member had diverticulitis surgery 10 days ago and was doing okay, but about 3 days ago, she started experiencing a foamy sensation in her saliva when drinking or eating, which we initially thought was due to dehydration. She received 2 liters of fluid at the ER and felt a little better for about 30 minutes, but the issue returned. She is on several medications including Gas X pills, thyroid pills, blood pressure pills, cholesterol pills, and vitamins. Could the Gas X pills be causing this foamy saliva?
