I’ve been dealing with constant burning hunger pangs for the last four months. I’ve been diagnosed with gastritis, duodenitis, two small ulcers, and a hiatal hernia. I’m on carafate and multiple PPIs, but they only help with reflux, not the hunger pangs. I’ve also had chiropractic help for my hiatal hernia and follow a strict low acid, low fodmap diet, but nothing helps. The burning hunger is constant, 24/7, and worse at night. Could this be caused by something other than my current conditions, like a parasite or Zollinger-Ellison syndrome? Do you have any suggestions?
