My 10-year-old daughter has been diagnosed with hyperthyroidism, but her recent test results show different markers compared to tests taken two months ago. She has gained weight and has had issues with her sugar levels, including episodes of tiredness, slurred speech, dizziness, and nausea. What could be causing these symptoms and how should we proceed?

My girlfriend is experiencing sharp, throbbing pain on the right side of her head, and her blood pressure is 180. She has a history of cervical cancer, kidney disease, and epilepsy. How long has she had the pain? Has she used any medication for it? Has she seen a doctor about the pain? Anything else in her medical history the doctor should know?

I have a gout flare that got worse after my second dose of prednisone. I have three more days of prednisone left. Will it start to get better? I also have an upset stomach as a side effect. The flare gets worse at night but improves during the day after taking prednisone. Is it safe to take colchicine with prednisone?

I have disrupted sleep with frequent muttering, screaming, laughing, shouting, and lots of abrupt tossing and turning. These symptoms are consistent with REM Sleep Disorder. Given I am only 26 and that REM sleep disorder usually indicates dementia or Parkinson's, should I be concerned?

I have been living with bone-on-bone condition all my life and am experiencing significant issues, including being unable to lift my leg when sitting. I am 30 years old and 8 years overdue for a hip replacement that was recommended when I was 16. I haven't seen a doctor since then. What steps should I take, and do I need to see a doctor again, even if I already have medical records? Also, how does the process work for seeking further treatment and possibly disability?
