My 10-year-old son has had fluctuating TSH levels from 9.355 to 6.025 over the past year, with an Assay free of 1.1 to 1.0 each time. His T3 level is now 29.00%, and his cholesterol levels are worsening. He is active, not obese, and eats fairly well, but he is always tired and crabby. He is being treated for low iron and Vitamin D, but his TSH has never been normal. I am concerned about a possible thyroid issue and his worsening lipid panel. What should I do?
