My 75-year-old sister is recovering from four major operations, including the removal of sarcomas in her left ankle and breast cancer in her left breast (breast now removed). She did not undergo chemotherapy or radiotherapy. She has haematomas above her left breast, causing discomfort and tightness in her upper chest, especially in the evenings. She is on warfarin due to an embolism post-operation. What can be done to ease her discomfort, and how long might this condition last?

My 15-year-old son has had a red sore in the middle of his tongue for about 6 weeks. He has been treated for oral fungal infection with a serum and two pills (Diflucan), but the sore has not improved. His tongue is often white, and he has had recurring throat infections treated with antibiotics. What could be causing the sore, and is it possible that it is not a fungal infection?
