My finger is swollen around the nail, and I've soaked it in warm salt water and used hydrogen peroxide. It's been about a week since I got over a sinus infection, and now there's a build-up of crusty material in my nose when I blow it, which is a mix of dark green infection and blood. The swelling in my finger started from the pressure around the nail and I tried to cut it to release the pressure. The affected area is about 2 millimeters high on both sides and the back part of the finger. I'm using Polysporin and I'm 70 years old with a history of quadruple heart bypass in 2011 and diverticulitis. What should I do about the swollen finger and the nasal infection?

I am having pain in the right side of my stomach, which seems like extreme gas symptoms. The pain started in the morning after having pizza the night before. Yesterday, the pain was constant and sharp, but today it has reduced to a dull ache. I have no other symptoms except tightness and pain when pressing the affected area. I am not using any medication and am 30 years old. This has happened before, and the doctor then said it was extreme gas. What could be causing this pain, and what can I do to alleviate it?

I fell in the snow in downtown Toronto and my back and head hurt. How long have you had the headache? Is it sharp, dull, or throbbing? What medications are you currently using? Do you have any fever, sore throat, smoke, or stress? Did you have any vomiting or loss of consciousness since the fall?

I am having back left pain with nausea. The pain started Sunday evening around 8 and is constant. It is a sharp ache. I have also experienced fatigue and nausea. I am 27 years old and female. I have not taken any pain killers. About a week ago, I thought I was getting a UTI because I was having some symptoms but came back negative for that. I’ve been peeing a lot frequently this last week and it burns a little after I pee. No fever and yes, this is the first time with this issue. The pain has been at about a 6 on a scale of 1-10.

I have developed sharp ankle pain on day 10 after a laparoscopic myomectomy. The pain comes and goes while standing, sitting, or at rest. Could the pain be related to the surgery, and could it have been triggered by sleeping on my back without moving to my side? My physiotherapist was unable to reproduce the pain, and I've been walking since day 2 or 3 post-surgery, though not as much as before. How severe is the pain, and can it be expected to subside with mobilization, even if it is nerve-related?

I have a history of pulmonary embolism and recently experienced pain in the lower right side of my rib cage after returning from a trip. My D-dimer blood test result was 1322, and my doctor prescribed Rivaroxaban. Should I start taking Rivaroxaban or go to the hospital for Clexane?
