My heartbeat suddenly increases at night while I am at rest trying to sleep. I have been to the cardiologist for EKG, Holter Monitor, Stress Test, and ultrasound. They found mild to moderate tricuspid valve insufficiency but that is all. I typically get pins/needles feeling in my hands or feet when I have an episode. My heartbeat will rise rapidly from 60-80 beats per minute to 120-125 bpm, then go back down. Any thoughts? This is very, very disturbing and anxiety producing. I go to sleep scared that I will not awake.

I have a white patch in the back of my throat and a very dry mouth. I've been experiencing this for three weeks, and I've been hacking a lot, which feels like post-nasal drip. I'm a smoker and took penicillin for 10 days, but it didn't help. What could be causing this, and what should I do?

What is the best remedy for leg cramps that have been occurring for a while, coming and going, and varying in intensity? I have been taking potassium and medications for heart and high blood pressure, including a statin and calcium. I am 81 years old and only experience cramps at night. I am allergic to penicillin.

Sometimes while sitting, my lower legs and feet swell, my hamstrings tighten, and I start to get prickly feelings over my body. These feelings go away with a restful night's sleep. It starts some days when I walk, and some days it does not bother me. It seems to occur more often in late winter and early spring. Any ideas?

I had an operation to remove a piece of meat from my esophagus eight years ago. I am experiencing difficulty swallowing again, similar to before. The difficulty affects solids, making them feel stuck, but drinking helps them go down. No chest pain or fullness is present.
