My husband had a biopsy on 3-29-17 that confirmed melanoma. The biopsy site has been infected since 3-31, and despite being prescribed cephalexin and then clindamycin, the infection persists. We have an appointment with the oncologist on 4-18, but he only has enough antibiotics to last until 4-10. Should we wait to see the oncologist on the 18th, or should we be concerned about the ongoing infection?
