My husband has a fever of 103°F, diarrhea, chills, and nausea since last night. He has no cough, stomach pain, blood in stool, or pre-existing respiratory conditions. He is not allergic to any medications and has no other known medical conditions. He has taken ibuprofen and had diarrhea twice. What could be causing his symptoms and what should he do?

I accidentally pushed earwax into my eardrum and can't hear out of my left ear. I need the best way to sleep before going to urgent care. Additionally, I recently had an ear allergic reaction and tried to remove excess earwax, but it got pushed further in. I also tried using hydrogen peroxide and water, but it didn't clear up. What should I do for sleep?
