My husband has been experiencing leg flare-ups, particularly around his right ankle, which is swollen, extremely tender to the touch, and very painful for him to walk on. The first time, we thought it was a spider bite, but this time there is no broken skin. He has seizures and is on Phenytoin Sodium 100mg medication. What could be a list of a few things that could trigger these flare-ups in his leg?

I have a gait problem where I feel like I'm not raising my legs enough, leading to a 'tin soldier' walk. I start fine on flat ground but get fatigued, and my steps become shorter uphill. I also have undifferentiated collagen vascular disease with CNS involvement. Should I get a brain MRI to rule out MS, and is there a specific name for this gait issue?

I had my gallbladder removed 16 years ago and have never had hard stools; my stomach works regularly 3-4 times a day. This weekend, I noticed a constant urge to go to the toilet and saw blood in the bowl, with the last time being a lot of bright red blood. What could this be?

I am happy with the answers I received and understand the importance of regular physician visits for control. However, if there is a permanent treatment available, can you advise me through my email? God bless.

I am a 35-year-old woman with a history of WPW. About 3 hours ago, I started having chest pressure and tightness. I feel very weak and tired, and when I lay down, it tends to get worse. My heart rate is currently 75 bpm. I recently lost my job and insurance and I don't want to rush to the ER if not totally necessary. Any suggestions?

I had unprotected sex and licked a sexually active woman's vagina this morning. I am married and have a young child. Am I prone to HIV, and what should I do now?
