My husband was hospitalized after tearing his right carotid artery (2cm dissection) from self-adjusting his neck. He was diagnosed with CVA, treated with IV Heparin, ASA, and Coumadin, and discharged on Coumadin 5mg qd and ASA 81mg qd. His INR has been fluctuating, and he is currently on an alternating regimen of 7.5mg and 10mg of Coumadin.
