My mother-in-law has been suffering from a recurring UTI for 4 months. She has taken two antibiotic courses, but they were not effective. She is 67 years old, on a visitor visa in Canada, and most urologists require referrals. What can be done to help her, and is there any over-the-counter medication that can provide temporary relief?
