My sister-in-law is experiencing severe pain in her feet and face, which we believe is a porphyria attack. She is in urgent need of a porphyria specialist in the Baltimore Metro Area or within a couple of hours' travel distance. Johns Hopkins University Hospital has said they cannot help her due to her allergies to all the safe drugs for neuropathy listed by Dr. Bonkovsky. She has an appointment with a Johns Hopkins neurologist in May but may not be able to wait that long due to her condition's mental health component and excruciating pain. What can we do to find immediate help?
