My sister was hospitalized a year and a half ago and diagnosed with encephalitis. Since then, she has not fully recovered, experiencing memory loss, alarming behavior changes, and substance abuse. Her behavior includes snorting Ritalin, excessive drinking, and erratic actions, causing fear for her safety and that of others. Before her hospitalization, she was very capable, but now she struggles with basic tasks and has no memory of recent events. We are concerned about the potential for harm to herself or others and are unsure how to help her. Could you please provide guidance on what might be happening and what steps we can take to assist her?

Are there other rashes that can appear on the bottom of the feet and palms of the hands besides Rocky Mountain Fever? My 1-year-old has a light pink rash on his legs and hands, but he has had no fever, no fussiness, or any other symptoms. His appetite is still good.
