My son tested positive for TB several years ago and was successfully treated. He now has been diagnosed with Hep C, but can't receive treatment due to liver biopsy showing granulomatous hepatitis, likely from the TB treatment. Isn't it reasonable to assume that the 'standard' treatment of interferon alfa and ribavirin would improve his condition? His abdomen has become distended in the past year - is this related to the hepatitis? What could cause such an enlargement in a year's time?

I have what I believe is Glaucoma, with hemorrhaging at the back of my eyes. I am a diabetic with a history of recent hospitalization due to sepsis and acute kidney failure. My eye specialist believes my eye issues are related to my recent health episodes, while my kidney specialists attribute it to my diabetes. What should I believe as a patient, and what should I do about my rapidly deteriorating vision?

My wife likely has Endometriosis with the rare case of monthly bleeding through her navel, and we're having difficulty expediting care (i.e., initial care, US/MRI, surgery). Her GYN is booked, and we can't get any imaging done until then. Should we go to the ED to get scripts or wait?
