My wife's thyroid levels have increased, and she has been diagnosed with anemia. The doctor suggested taking iron tablets. Is it dangerous to have anemia, especially since she is 28 weeks pregnant? Additionally, her thyroid medication dosage has been increased. Is this fine, and is the ferrous sulphate dosage of 325 mg considered high?

My son has an extremely swollen lymph node on one side of his neck that has persisted for 4-5 weeks despite two courses of antibiotics. There is no pain, fever, weight loss, or other symptoms. He had a bad knee infection a few weeks prior to this starting. What could be causing the swelling and should we be concerned?

I had an elevated white blood cell count (WBC) that returned to normal in a subsequent test, but the last test showed a 'slightly elevated' WBC. My doctor referred me to a hematologist who recommended tests including a Leukemia and Lymphoma panel by flow cytometry, CBC with differential, and CLL panel by FISH. I am worried about leukemia. What does this mean, and how likely is it that I have a serious condition?

I have had slight trouble breathing, a headache, and can’t really hold down food. I need a doctor's note without having to go to a clinic near me. How long have you had the headache? Is this a one-off or something that comes and goes? Is the pain sharp, dull, or throbbing? Does it seem localized within one particular area of your head? What are all the medications you're currently using, either for the headache or anything else? How old are you? Anything else in your medical history you think the Doctor should know?
