I accidentally got chemical drain cleaner (Pequa drain cleaner) on my thumb and possibly my index finger. I rinsed it off, but hours later, I rubbed my eye with the same finger, causing my eye to burn. Based on my MRI findings, could I have had the small amorphous T2/FLAIR hyperintense foci within the dorsal pons for a long time, or would they be fairly new? Or is it hard to tell? What do you think caused the T2 hyperintensity seen within the posterior pons?
