I have cirrhosis and stopped drinking 7 months ago. My bilirubin was 1.9 and enzymes were elevated. I've been monitoring these from home and bilirubin was trending downward along with enzymes. However, after a very stressful weekend, a recent blood test showed bilirubin at 2.5, while enzymes are now normal. I'm not jaundiced and feel good. How should I interpret this change in bilirubin levels, and can stress cause such a fluctuation?

My husband has been experiencing rectal bleeding consistently for the past year, which has recently increased to almost every day. He is 37 years old, not on any medications, and has no history of constipation. The blood is bright red, and he occasionally has blood clots. He also feels bloated often, has fatigue, brain fog, and after bleeding, he feels pain inside his stomach, particularly on the right and left sides. What could be causing these symptoms and what tests or treatments should be considered?

I have the flu and took ibuprofen two hours ago, but my fever got worse and is now 102.7°F. Can I safely take Tylenol now to try and lower it? Additionally, I take propranolol to help with tachycardia and blood pressure. Is it safe to take propranolol with ibuprofen?

My wife is experiencing shortness of breath, numbness on her left side, and feels nauseous. She is 68 years old, has trouble breathing when lying down, and is currently taking zonisamide, levothyroxine, rifaximin, and lactulose. She recently had hip surgery and is recovering from a slight infection at the surgery site. She has a history of strokes and seizures. What could be causing these symptoms and what should we do?
