Are antibiotics okay for this? Will this cause fever or was my fever episode completely unrelated to this?

I tested negative for Strep, don't have a cold or fever, and got the flu shot two days before symptoms appeared. I'm allergic to penicillin. What could be causing this pain and how should I treat it?
