I've been experiencing a random burning sensation under my right breast and sometimes in the middle of my stomach, both sides under my armpits where the ribs meet are sore to touch as well. I'm not on any medications and have had these symptoms for about 2 days. I don't have nausea, vomiting, or abdominal bloating. The left side of my rib near the breast is also painful to touch. Could this be endocarditis, and can gum disease cause endocarditis when I brush my teeth carefully and use a salt water rinse?

I'm having severe pain in my hip area for the past 2-3 months. My physical therapist believes it's a muscle issue, but my primary care doctor has been unresponsive. Walking and lying down are both painful, and over-the-counter pain relievers like Alleve, Tylenol, and Advil are ineffective. The only medication that has worked for me in the past is Soma 500mg, but my current doctor prescribed Flexoril, which is useless. I also have a history of high blood pressure and anxiety. What can be done to alleviate this pain?

I had influenza last week and went for a deep tissue massage. Now, I'm experiencing severe stiffness, neck pain, and a headache that has lasted for a week. I've been prescribed Vicodin. How long will this last and what can I do to alleviate the symptoms?

I am looking for a doctor who deals specifically with schizo-affective patients in Indianapolis, IN. My 53-year-old daughter, Stephanie, was diagnosed with this disease in her 20s and has had fairly good doctors up until the past year or so. She's been going to Behavior Corp (now called Aspire) and they no longer have doctors, but someone called a nurse practitioner. Since Stephanie has been going to her, she is having more problems with the voices and is suicidal much of the time. She's on Medicare as she can no longer hold a job, but I can help pay for appointments if we can just find someone to help her!
