I have a severe sore throat that started on Thursday, with swollen lymph nodes and pain when swallowing. I don't have a fever, but the swelling has worsened over time. I've taken Advil, which helps somewhat, but the swelling remains. I haven't seen a doctor yet and don't have any significant medical history except for occasional scratchy throat due to allergies.
