I have severe heartburn and have stopped taking Nexium due to concerns about its impact on my gut health. I've been using probiotics, ginger tea, and Tums, but the heartburn has worsened recently, possibly due to stress or medication changes. I also have sciatica and arthritis, for which I take Aleve, but it may be contributing to my heartburn. What can I do to manage my heartburn and pain effectively without worsening my gut health?

I am pre-diabetic with an A1c of 5.6. I have been experiencing headaches, abnormal EKGs, and high blood sugar levels (356 in the morning and 396 two hours after eating). I take Victoza 2.8 ml per day. How can I lower my blood sugar and should I try to see an endocrinologist sooner?

I visited a new dermatologist who suspects I have a gluten allergy due to classic signs and symptoms, including a stuffy nose after eating at restaurants, a rash on my elbows, fatigue, and low energy. My cousin and her son also have this allergy, affecting their digestion. I felt better on a low-carb, high-protein diet. The dermatologist took a skin biopsy, and I will have the results in two weeks. What should I do while waiting for the results?

I'm 29, turning 30 in September. I was held back a year in preschool and had an awkward grade school experience. I'm currently enrolled at Tarleton State University in Texas with a 3.84 GPA. My problem is that I struggle socially, especially in unfamiliar or large group settings, feeling pressured to speak but not wanting to. I also have involuntary muscle movements and difficulty maintaining eye contact, especially with authority figures. I relate to my brother, who has Asperger syndrome, on many levels, including quick learning and social awkwardness. I want to know if I might be on the Asperger's spectrum and if I need medication or therapy for my symptoms.
