I recently had sinus surgery and the pathology report came back saying I have MRSA in my right nostril. I am responding to antibiotic Tetracycline and am awaiting a compounded antibiotic substance to use in a nasal lavage twice a day. What precautions should I now be taking to prevent the spread of infection to other parts of my body and to other family members, especially considering my husband's lowered immunity and frequent visits from my grandchildren?
